I've udated my website a little bit...

and, next week, when I return from a short break in the country.... I'm going to post my NEW designs!!

I've been really worried about them, and I kinda lost my way a bit. I started to think about what would sell, rather than what I want to draw. It's been a bit of a mental struggle plucking up the courage to design and show the world. But I can't run this show and not design new things.

I'm of to a paper printers to print out my designs actually size, and adjust them according to the size of the t-shirts. Then by the end of feb I shall be exposing the screens and printing them up. I'm a little scared, but also excited. I had such amazing success with my first range, I'm worried this one may fail.

I'm sure this is a normal reaction for someone who owns a creative business.

Off to London now to practice my photography in the National History Museum whilst waiting for the boy to deliver me some really good news. Positive thoughts and Fingers crossed for him

Lord Whitney

Whilst twitter stalking (something I'm not proud of, and takes up a lot of time, therefore I have decided this is an activity I must cut down on) I stumbled across these two amazing gals Amy Lord and Rebekah Whitney who form 'Lord Whitney' http://cargocollective.com/lordwhitney

I love the wonderful lighting and illustrative typography. The backdrops and props are whimsical.

Amelie and photobooths

If you haven't seen Amelie...buy it from HMV now its £4.99. I love this film so much and its on while I'm writing this piece. I love the beautiful cinematography, the vibrant yellows, reds and greens. I love the Parisian scenes and the playful, witty nature of the script. If I knew how to shot and edit films I'm pretty sure it would look like this...I'm sure even before I saw it, basically this film is perfect!

I love the Micheal Sowa paintings...

whilst researching images for this film it got me thinking about photo booths, and think every corner of every high-street should have a black and white photo booth, that takes 4 different pictures. I cannot find one! I want one for my house. I even would be happy to download a FREE app for my computer (pc) or phone (android), so if anyone can recommend a good site let me know!

P.s I recommend you type Amelie into Google images and look at some of the blogs the pictures come from. they are mainly illustrators or artist, but some real gems.
